Child Education to promote Independence, Self respect and to prevent child abuse

At Waterfowl Foundation, we believe that every child deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and succeed. As a non-profit organization dedicated to holistic child education, we work tirelessly to ensure children have access to quality education, resources, and opportunities—no matter their circumstances.

OUR STRENGTH, OUR INSPIRATION, OUR WORK

Our strength, our backbone is Guruji Maharaj, of Bade mandir, Chattarpur, Delhi, who is MahaShiv. Guruji gave Waterfowl name to the Foundation in 2023 and it was incorporated as Waterfowl Foundation in same year, on July 10th. Waterfowl, a “Hans”, is a divine vehicle for Brahma ( Creator of the world ) and Saraswati ( Goddess of  knowledge and learning ) in Hindu mythology. “Hans” in indian culture symbolizes purity, discernment, knowledge and wisdom. The legendary swan can separate milk from water, drink milk and leave water. Similarly, these children strive to take in the essential goodness of the world and leave the non-essentials behind. As Swan remains in the water, but its feathers remain dry, these children aim to live in this world, but remain unaffected by its ills. Their spiritual practices, academic achievements and above all, Guruji’s Blessings will take these children to their goal.

Guruji’s Blessings are our inspiration, they remove any hurdles that may arise on the way, and keep us marching toward our goal.

WHY EDUCATION IS IMPORTANT

Education is the foundation of a child’s future, providing them with the knowledge, skills, and confidence they need to navigate life successfully. It opens doors to opportunities, breaks the cycle of poverty, and empowers children to dream big and achieve their goals. Beyond academics, education shapes their character, nurtures creativity, and instills critical thinking, helping them become responsible, compassionate, and informed citizens. By investing in a child’s education, we are not just transforming individual lives but also building a brighter, more equitable world for generations to come.

WHAT WE DO

Waterfowl Foundation, aims to provide education to children, ages 3-10 yrs, who are not attending any school, which may be due to financial difficulties, inability to provide transportation to school or for any other reasons. We provide round trip transportation to school, uniforms, books and school supplies, in addition to school education. The Foundation reserves the right to take any other age student, on a case by case basis.

We provide holistic education with emphasis on yoga asana exercises, pranayama breathing exercises and meditation, in addition to their rigorous academic curriculum. Children broaden their experiences with Field trip outings. Parent teacher conferences are conducted on a regular basis, as a partnership between school and parents for students growth and wellness.
